This year we head into North Shropshire on the first afternoon, taking in some of the border areas of Cheshire and Shropshire.
Following into day two, a full day of competition in the beautiful south Shropshire Hills and the Welsh Marches will provide some great roads with a wonderful backdrop of scenery. The challenge for crews will increase with the intensity of the navigation throughout the day, but lunch will provide an enjoyable respite in a lovely backwater in Shropshire before we head back over some stunning scenery to eventually arrive at Albrighton Hall near Shrewsbury for the evening meal.
Finally, the last day, which will be time for crews to concentrate and gel together, looking for improvements, as the rally travels through the Shropshire and Cheshire borders. Some of the excellent roads we have used before, but they will still need your full attention as The Summer Trial format means the navigational instructions will continue to increase in their challenging nature, but continuing in the tulip route book format.
By limiting the amount of time spent away from home, the Summer Trial allows crews to enjoy a multi-day event while minimising the impact on work and other real-life commitments. Our timetable will enable most crews to travel to the start on the Friday morning and depart for home early on Sunday afternoon.
Navigation is straightforward and many chose the event to introduce other family members or colleagues to the sport; others like to take part in order to shake down their cars in preparation for our longer duration events but an enjoyable time is planned for everyone.

Day Two | 19 July 2025
A full day of competition in the beautiful south Shropshire Hills and the Welsh Marches will provide some great roads with a wonderful backdrop of scenery. The challenge for crews will increase with the intensity of the navigation throughout the day, but lunch will provide an enjoyable respite in a lovely backwater in Shropshire before we head back over some stunning scenery to eventually arrive at Albrighton Hall near Shrewsbury for the evening meal.
Then it will be time to tell the tales of the day, the zeros or otherwise, and no doubt relate some of those tense moments in the car as you start to unwind! We will be joined by competitors from Europe and overseas, so you can look forward to some international camaraderie.
Day Three | 20 July 2025
