Brian Whyte, Operations Director HERO-ERA;
“They hit us with a bang on Friday, it was incredibly busy, but understandably we were a little bit out of practice! We enjoyed a steady Saturday which continued through to Sunday.
“It was good to be back at the show after two years away. It was great to see our members and the public to welcome them all onto our stand where there was huge interest in our events, which included people signing up for event entries. As ever, the HERO Store merchandise was popular with some significant sales.”
Lee Masters, Lancaster Insurance Classic Motor Show Director;
“It’s fantastic to be back. It’s been two years since we’ve run the show during which time the events industry has been through a huge trauma suffering a huge impact on jobs. Certain people like myself are lucky enough that we still have a job, to be able to keep the lights on, to keep engaging with our community, to get back to the point of running live events again and here we are, the Classic Motor Show is back!
“Ticket sales have been brilliant, there has been lots of pent up demand, lots of goodwill towards us with people commenting on social media that they are so excited to be back, our visitors are really loyal and we really appreciate their support.
“The car clubs have been fantastic as well. We were able to locate 270 car clubs to get them to the show which is exactly the same figure as the 2019 show, so all the car clubs have come back.
“The footprint of this year’s show is close to a million sq ft, we had 3000 cars on display from Ferraris to Fiats. We expect to reach 95% of our 2019 attendance figures which was 70,000 visitors with 270 exhibitors, it has been a very successful comeback.”
