232 Competitors Return to Tackle the HERO Virtual Table Top Championship Winter Edition
Back by popular demand, the HERO Virtual Table Top Championship (HVTTC) returned for the third running this year starting on the 16th November 2020. The Winter special edition will run for a further two weeks as our challengers continue to follow a series of clues to find a final answer to submit to the event’s organisers; Seren and Elise Whyte.
The first week of the Winter Special recorded a healthy 232 competitors who took part returning their answers with just nine getting the answer wrong. The difficulty level is set to increase over the course of the following two weeks in order to keep the navigators on their toes and provide plenty of competition for those that seek the coveted Roll of Honour status.
Hospitality Action will be the benefactors from the third round of the HVTTC. Hospitality Action is the ultimate support network for those in the hospitality industry who have been hit hard during the pandemic, and also for those that are struggling within the industry.
‘Whether you work in hotels, restaurants, pubs, bars or cafés, schools, hospitals or event venues, we’re here to give you the help, advice and support you need whenever times get tough.
Whatever challenge you face - from physical illness or mental health issues to financial difficulty, family problems to addiction - Hospitality Action is here to get you back on your feet again. And when it’s no longer possible to work, we can help you prepare for the next phase of your life.’
We urge you to give where you can and help us in supporting a sector that HERO-ERA relies upon so much for our events. You can still sign up for the HVTTC and complete the final two weeks of the event HERE.
The team have already received an incredible amount of feedback from the participants who all seem to be enjoying the challenges:
- Love these. Having so much fun. You guys are doing a fantastic job. Thanks very much ladies! With kind regards, Wendy
- One bonus for me now is that because I was apparently visibly getting wound up on this one(herringbone), my wife decided I needed her help and so has shown interest in rally navigating - so for me at least there is this unexpected bonus - so double thanks to you Seren - we might even get out together on the road doing this sort of thing for real. Bet you never expected that sort of response to your efforts in putting together the VTTs.
- Very best wishes to you from a very grateful novice/beginner. Pierre
- Thanks again ladies. You really are THE LOCKDOWN LIFE SAVERS. Regards, Stephen
