Race Retro 2019, a great success for HERO events
This is the eighth time that HERO have partnered with Race Retro to exhibit at the show and run events together, but most importantly to spend time talking to enthusiasts. HERO lives by it’s strap line of ‘By Enthusiasts for enthusiasts’, Stoneleigh Park provides that ideal platform for great customer interaction.

It is estimated that over twenty thousand people visited Race Retro over the three days
150 people booked and drove HERO Arrive Drive Rally cars around the eight mile route, sampling some of the finest classic rally cars in the UK that can be hired for future HERO rallies.
Some 125 enthusiasts, sixty percent of them new to the sport, attended four HERO Academy Seminars which covered the basics of classic rallying all the way through to an expert navigational ‘brush up’.
An estimated 800 people visited the HERO stand and enjoyed over 1,000 cups of HERO Coffee. 42 percent making enquiries into future events or HERO services.
Over 200 people have signed up at the show to receive HEROICS – HERO’s monthly Newsletter delivered straight into their inbox, so they can keep in touch.
Brian Whyte, Operations Director of HERO Events was pleased with the outcome, particularly the interest of so many newcomers in HERO events.
“Working with the Race Retro Show organisers, we wanted to create an opportunity where we could interact with the public and they could interact with us. These people were real enthusiasts and we like to think that they enjoyed good conversations with our staff who are genuine classic car and rally enthusiasts. We certainly hope so as they drank us out of coffee!
“We brought along some of our classic cars for the Arrive & Drive driving experience which ran over the three days, four one hour training seminars on how to get into classic rallying as well as the Retro Classic Tour 120 mile event. We certainly expect to convert some of the classic car rookies from today into next level events such as the HERO Challenges on March 9th and September 28th
We are all tired but happy!”
